Macha Pohu

Macha Pohu joined Laurentian Bank in 2022 as Vice President, Talent. Recognized for her ability to build high-performing and engaged teams, as well as for her leadership style, Macha supports the Bank’s strategic objectives by ensuring that the talent strategies and organizational culture are aligned with the Bank’s ambitions for growth, transformation and delivering excellent customer experience.

She became Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2024 and in September of the same year, Corporate Affairs was added to her mandate. In this capacity, she oversees the Bank’s legal functions, as well as matters related to the corporate secretariat.

Macha has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, during which she has held senior management positions in distribution, information technology and human resources. She holds an MBA in Financial Services from Université du Québec à Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

She also holds ITIL certifications and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
