Benoit Bertrand
Benoit was appointed as Laurentian Bank’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) in February 2024. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Bank’s technology strategy and supporting its digital transformation journey, while ensuring the delivery of innovative, secure and reliable technology solutions to support the Bank’s current and future business vision and ambitions. He oversees cyber security, enterprise applications, network and infrastructure, data analytics and AI, and is responsible for managing the Bank’s technology partners.
Benoit is a recognized digital transformation leader with a comprehensive career spanning over 30 years in a number of different sectors including manufacturing, financial services, health and life sciences, and telecommunications. He most recently served as Global Vice President Digital and Innovations, and Canada Regional CIO at one of Canada’s largest food manufacturers. He is known for his pragmatic and innovative approach to program and project management, with technical expertise spanning IT programs and project management, enterprise solution architecture, data architecture and systems integration.
Benoit holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke.
